There's always something to celebrate at Kooringal High School! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

2026 So far!

Commerce Stalls! 🎂

The Quad was buzzing with excitement today as our Commerce students put their business skills to the test through a range of market stalls. From delicious cakes, cake pops and crepes to raffles, sausage sizzles and guess-the-lolly-jar competitions, there was plenty on offer for students to enjoy.

The market stalls provided students with a hands-on opportunity to apply what they've been learning in the classroom, developing skills in planning, marketing, budgeting and customer service. It was fantastic to see so many students supporting their peers and helping make the day a great success.

That's a Wrap on the 2026 School Production! 🎤

After months of rehearsals, dedication and hard work, the curtain has closed on another incredible Kooringal High School Production. From the performers on stage to the students working behind the scenes, this year's production showcased the creativity, talent and teamwork that make our school community so special.

Thank you to our students, staff, families and community members who supported the production along the way. The memories made, friendships formed and skills developed will last long after the final bow. Congratulations to everyone involved on a fantastic show!

NISEP Student Leaders 🔬

Our NISEP student leaders took their passion for science beyond the classroom, participating in hands-on learning experiences with university partners before returning to KHS to share their knowledge with younger students. They later showcased their skills to the wider community through engaging science demonstrations and activities.

Their leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to STEM learning made them outstanding ambassadors for both Kooringal High School and the NISEP program.

World's Greatest Shave 💛

The KHS community came together in an incredible show of support for the World's Greatest Shave, raising more than $2,500 for the Leukaemia Foundation. Students and staff volunteered to shave, colour and wax their hair, while others joined in through fundraising activities and donations.

The event was filled with laughter, courage and community spirit, demonstrating the generosity of our students and their commitment to supporting an important cause.

CoS We Care Expo 💡

The CoS We Care Expo showcased months of collaboration between Kooringal High School students and our partner primary schools. Working in teams, students developed innovative solutions to real-world challenges before presenting their ideas and prototypes to peers, staff and community members.

The expo highlighted the creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills of our students while celebrating the positive impact young people can have within their communities.

Merit Assemblies 🌟

Throughout the year, our Merit Assemblies provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and efforts of students across all areas of school life. Students were recognised for their commitment to learning, leadership, attendance, sport, the arts and positive contributions to the school community.

These assemblies are always a proud occasion, highlighting the success and dedication of our students.

Superhero Day 🦸

Students and staff transformed into superheroes for a day as the KHS community united to support a cause close to our hearts. The school was filled with colourful costumes, plenty of smiles and a strong sense of community as over $2600 were raised to support Mrs Lawson and her family.

The day showcased the kindness, generosity and school spirit that make Kooringal High School such a special place.

KHS Disco 🎶

The KHS Disco was an evening full of music, dancing and fun, giving Year 7 and 8 students the chance to relax, connect with friends and enjoy a memorable night together. The gym was transformed into a lively social space as students embraced the opportunity to celebrate and make lasting memories.

The event was a fantastic success and a great example of the strong sense of community at Kooringal High School.

Year 12 Trivia Night 🧠

Our Year 12 Trivia Night brought together students and staff for an evening of friendly competition, laughter and fundraising. Teams tested their knowledge across a variety of categories while enjoying the opportunity to connect and support our graduating students.

The night was filled with memorable moments and served as a wonderful celebration of the Year 12 cohort as they continue their journey towards graduation.

Gold Dinner ✨

Our annual Gold Dinner brought together Year 12 students and staff for an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence at Kooringal High School. The event recognised students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement across academics, sport, leadership, the arts and service to the school community.

It was a special night of recognition, reflection and pride, highlighting the dedication and commitment of our students throughout the year.

Harmony Day 🌏🧡

Harmony Day was a vibrant celebration of the many cultures that make up our Kooringal High School community. Students enjoyed a colourful assembly featuring cultural performances, music and student contributions that highlighted the importance of inclusion, respect and belonging.

The day was a wonderful opportunity to come together, learn from one another and celebrate the diversity that makes our school such a welcoming place for all.
